NRA Basic Pistol Course - Nine hours of safe handling fundamentals of firearms over a three day period - three consecutive Sundays. Students are encouraged to return for three more hours after they receive their permit for one-on-one training with their firearm.

Personal Protection Course - This course focuses on the student forming a plan for their own personal safety in their home, on the street, and the workplace.

New York State Armed Security Guard Course - This course includes 47 hours of classroom and range instruction; a written exam and range qualification required for completion of the course.

NRA Instructor Course -  This is a three-day course for becoming a NRA Certified Instructor. Certified Instructors will have the opportunity to teach others the basic handling of firearms and other areas of firearms activities and instruction.

NY State Hunter Safety Course - This course is required for first time hunters. Students must be 12 years or older. Contact us for class dates, times, and fees.

NRA Basic Pistol & Personal Protection Courses for Women - Specifically designed for women. Contact us for class dates, times, and fees.

NRA Training Counselor Course - This course is designed for NRA Certified Instructors who want to teach other instructors how to conduct courses. Contact us for class dates, times, and fees.

Private one-on-one Firearms Instruction - NRA Certified Instructors are available for one-on-one instruction. Contact us for fees and scheduling private instruction.

The NRA cooperates with federal agencies, all branches of the U.S.  Armed Forces, and state and local governments that are interested in training and safety programs.

The basic goals of the NRA are to:

  • Protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, especially in regard to the Second Amendment right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms.

  • Promote public safety, law and order, and the national defense.

  • Train Citizens and members of law enforcement agencies and the armed forces in the safe handling and efficient use of firearms.

  • Foster and promote the shooting sports at local, state, regional, national, and international levels.

  • Promote hunter safety and proper wildlife management.
